The Green Infrastructure Webinar Series welcomes Scott MacIvor, PhD candidate at York University in Toronto, and co-research coordinator at the GRIT green roof lab at the University of Toronto, on October 11th at 2 pm EDT for a webinar on green roof ecology.  This webinar will review research, trends and recommendations from green roof biodiversity literature, and introduce design and maintenance strategies to augment the habitat value of both extensive and intensive green roofs in cities. These efforts aim to support beneficial species, such as wild bees and solitary wasps, without affecting roof thermoregulatory and stormwater retaining functions. Scott is a featured speaker at CitiesAlive, the 9th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference taking place in Philadelphia this Fall.
