TORONTO, ON, November 8, 2010: Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to announce the winners the 2010 Green Roof and Wall Awards of Excellence!

Jeffrey L. Bruce, Chairman of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities announced the winners in the lead-up to CitiesAlive: The 8th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference and Trade Show (November 30 to December 3, 2010) in Vancouver, BC.

“Since 2003, the Awards of Excellence have defined the leading edge of innovation for green roofs,” said Mr. Bruce. “The class of 2010 demonstrates the universal acceptance of green roofs and walls as an important green infrastructure tool in North America with dozens of monumental, highly visible projects. Green Roof - Intensive Industrial/Commercial
Project: 250 Hudson Street, New York, New York

Part of a $30 million retrofit, green roof designers used plants and flowers of different textures to create a relaxing 8,000-square foot rooftop space for tenants.
