Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is accepting submissions for papers and posters to be presented at: CitiesAlive! 8th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference November 30, December 1 - 3, 2010 in Vancouver, BC, CANADA

CitiesAlive! will raise awareness of the many benefits of green roofs and green walls, share new research findings, provide information on the latest designs, implementation techniques and products, and broaden networks.

Conference streams fall under Policy, Design & Case Studies, and Research.

We are particularly interested in presentations that emphasize the themes of integration and climate change, especially:

• integrated and cross disciplinary design practices;
• integrative research that links multiple benefits with completed data;
• completed projects that deliver multiple benefits; and,
• integrative policies, standards and economic evaluation tools which capture a more accurate picture of the benefits of green roofs and walls.

We are also looking for projects that reflect the unique climate based challenges of the Pacific coast, challenges such as intense and prolonged periods of rainfall, followed by shorter periods of intense heat and drought.

Abstract submissions are due by March 15th, 2010
