G

reen Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is pleased to announce that its Green Roof Professional (GRP) training courses have been approved as high-quality green building education by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This is good news for LEED Professionals who can use GRHC training courses to satisfy their Credentialing Maintenance Program requirements from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).

“USGBC-approved Education Providers undergo a rigorous third party review process that ensures they provide the highest quality green building professional development education,” said Hazel Farley, Director of Training and Accreditation. “For the last five years, GRHC courses have provided continuing education credits for professionals registered with such organizations as the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Landscape Architects, and the Roofing Consultants Institute, to name but a few. This additional endorsement serves to further promote the high quality of our training and our accredited Green Roof Professional (GRP) program in particular.”

The GRP accreditation is supported by four professional development courses offered in different locations throughout North America. Winter training will take place in Toronto, Tampa, and New York. See www.greenroofs.org for a course and exam calendar.
