The Green Roof Professional Training Program consists of three full-day courses developed by multi-disciplinary committees of industry experts. These courses are recommended training for Green Roof Professional (GRP) candidates preparing to write the GRP accreditation exam.

There are no pre-requisites for the Green Roof Design and Installation course, however we recommend completing this course prior to attending the subsequent courses.

Tuition

Tuition for Green Roof Design and Installation is $499 USD, or $474 USD for GRHC members. Tuition for Green Roof Waterproofing and Drainage and Green Roof Plants and Growing Media is $399 USD, or $374 USD for GRHC members each.  Tuition includes course materials and lunch.

Green Roof Design and Installation is an updated and consolidated version of our Green Roof Design 101 and Green Roof Design and Installation 201 courses. It incorporates new research on green roof benefits and the latest technical standards, and presents tools and techniques needed to meet green roof project objectives on schedule, to specification, and within budget. This course provides detailed information on:

  • The full range of system types and components available to designers;
  • Design principles to optimize your green roof’s performance and align with client objectives;
  • Essential qualifications for your project team;
  • Determining the various professions and competencies required to optimally implement a successful green roof project.

Green Roof Plants and Growing Media provides participants with an overview of plants and growing medium design considerations and maintenance for green roof assemblies. It establishes design and implementation best management practices.
