Daniel K. Slone, Secretary

Daniel K. Slone is a partner in the Richmond office of McGuireWoods LLP. He heads the Firm’s Environmental Solutions Group. He is national counsel for several non-profits, including Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, the Congress for the New Urbanism, the U.S. Green Building Council, the World Green Building Council and the Virginia Sustainable Building Network. Dan assists developers and localities in project permitting and obtaining land use and environmental approvals for innovative new neighborhoods, often featuring New Urban and sustainable development techniques. He speaks widely and writes on a broad range of subjects. Dan graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College with degrees in Philosophy and Political Science. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School.
