May 8 -- 12 is Convocation Week in Boston. With more than 13 academic institutions located locally, hotel rooms will be sold out across the City or exorbitant rates will be charged. Book your room now!

Why Stay at the Host Hotel:

  • Receive discounted hotel rates (as much as 50% discount over rack rates)
  • Be where the action is
  • Experience the convenience of picking up your registration materials on-site

By booking your room in our host hotel, it enables us to book future conference hotels. Many cities look at the overall revenue a group brings to an assigned exhibit space based on the number of hotel rooms used. When attendees book at alternate hotels, we have no way of tracking this information and we cannot accurately record the actual volume of business generated by our conference. As a result, we may not be able to obtain the required space for future conferences, and we will be charged attrition fees for not using hotel rooms that have been blocked. Please support us by booking at the Sheraton Hotel.

Green Travel and Accommodations for Greening Rooftops - brought to you by Spaceshare

Travel as a community: by car, flight or train, share rides, rooms or open your home.

Does your car have two people and four seats? Are you taking the train alone while your neighbor rides a few cars behind you? Greening Rooftops for Sustainable Communities is exploring ways to hold a greener festival, and we also hope to help you make connections with your neighbors. Our festival can start when you leave your home, when you get on the plane, when you carpool to the airport! Share a ride, share a flight, share a hotel room, share a taxi or car rental. Local residents willing to host a guest are especially needed! Try out our new SpaceShare green travel system, and look for connections. Fill every seat of every car!

Designing a Green Conference

Just as a building designed with the planet in mind turns out to be a better place to live or work, an environmentally conscious conference is a better venue to network and strengthen community. However you travel, green networking helps you travel using the least resources, while making connections with the other Greening Rooftops enthusiasts in your own neighborhood. Carpool, sit next to your neighbor on the train, share a ride to the airport and fly together, share a room. We hope everyone will try our SpaceShare green networking system, and come to the festival with people from your own hometown.

Your journey is part of the Conference!
Connecting with the people from your neighborhood or home city, you can discuss the festival on your way home. Use your trip as a regional mini-conference, and take what you learn at Greening Rooftops back to your community!
